Meet the TeamWe're your affordable veterinary care option!
Kathleen Babbitt, DVM
We are very excited to announce the addition of our second full time veterinarian, Kathleen Babbitt DVM. Dr. Babbitt comes to us by way of Purdue University with an undergraduate focus in Biochemistry from the Purdue Agricultural College and then her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from the Purdue College of Veterinary Medicine. She brings over twenty years of experience in a varied array including private and emergency practice, pharmaceuticals with an emphasis on nutrition, and academia. When not bettering the lives of our wonderful companions she enjoys time with a good book, cooking and baking, or crocheting. She is currently taking a break from the marathon and half marathon scene to devote more time to her patient and supportive wife of over five years and their two foster children. We are incredibly happy to welcome Dr. Babbitt into our family and know you will see right away what a compassionate veterinarian she is with a ready laugh and beautiful soul, always ready to find a way to ensure families stay families with pets and people together!
Deborah Johnson, DVM
Community Pet Care Clinic is excited to welcome Dr. Debbie Johnson into our family. Dr Johnson has over twenty-five years of practice experience ranging from private practice and shelter medicine to teaching and consulting for major veterinary corporations and non-profits. Not only does she bring her vast knowledge but also a deep compassion for animal welfare and beautiful soul to heal the creatures of the world. When Dr. Johnson is not making animal lives better (and the lives of our team), she enjoys golfing and gardening- she has been certified as a Master Gardner! A fun menagerie takes care of Dr. Johnson in her off time and they include four rescue pups and an old grouchy cat running the show along with a supportive husband. We are so blessed to have Dr. Johnson offering top quality care to your beloved babies with a gentle loving touch!

Gretchen joins our team and brings along with her not only her caring personality, devotion to pets and their families, and infectious laugh but also over twenty-five years of experience. She is a Registered Veterinary Technician well versed in shelter and community care as well as a knowledgeable manager and skilled people person. She is a proud mom to three up and coming young adults and a supportive wife of twenty-two years to her patient and encouraging husband. Medical Manager; Registered Veterinary Technician, Veterinary Technician Specialist (Clinical Practice-Canine/Feline)
Christie has been in the veterinary field for over twenty years and has attained her Veterinary Technician Specialty in Clinical Practice (canine/feline). She has a passion for teaching and uplifting those around her and holds positions with the local, state and national veterinary technician associations. In her spare time, she loves nature photography, hiking, reading, and working outside in her yard or on her parent’s small hobby farm. She has three crazy trouble making kitties at home.
Registered Veterinary Technician
Emily joins us with five years of technician experience and brings along a contagious smile, giving soul, and generous heart. As a graduate of Stautzenberger College, she is a local girl raising two trouble making pups and an encouraging cat. In addition, Emily has an active son and young princess to add to the pack. In her short-lived spare time, she enjoys spending time with her beautiful family doing all sorts of sporting events contributing to their active lifestyle and loving the blessing of being a mom.
Registered Veterinary Technician
Autumn is a recent graduate of Stautzenberger College with a degree in Applied Science and a focus on Veterinary Technology. We are so proud of all her hard work and grateful for her endless enthusiasm to learn whiling providing the most compassionate care to all the critters she sees. Autumn is a proud dog mom to a fun loving canine mix named Hercules. Fortunately, for all animals she has such a big heart that she opens up her home to foster kittens. When she happens to have some extra time, she enjoys snuggles with Hercules while watching TV in addition to traveling, baking delectables and spending time with her supportive family.
Millie comes to us with several years of experience in the pet care and human relations field and brings a warmth and feeling of comfort that just makes everything okay in the world. She shows a welcoming calm and strength while always ready to share a friendly smile and helpful hand. Millie has two hooligan mixed pups at home, Buddy and Pokie, along with a Leopard Gecko named Leonitus who are ready for fun as soon as she gets in the door. When the crew at home isn’t monopolizing her time she relaxes with time well spent baking and cooking or conquering new worlds (and family and friends) during video game tournaments.
Nicole’s friendliness and inviting nature greets every two and four legged friend who comes in the door. She joins our team and brings along a solid educational background from her secondary training at Penta Career Center focusing on Small Animal Care. She spent some time loving and caring for the grateful little souls at the Toledo Humane Society prior to blessing our family with her skills. Occupying her critter free time is a precocious little gentleman and two trouble encouraging canine friends. Family time is special and they love to spend time boating, camping, and hiking at the lake.
